No Title

I find those blog posts that begin with "I saw that I haven't updated in a while so here is a bunch of nonsense that shall entertain you" pretty interesting.

Why do you have a blog if the only time you post is when you notice you have not posted in a while? Is it for your readers sake that you post something? For all the hundreds if not two readers of yours? That is why you post obscure things online for strangers to read?

Hannah posts regularly. She is incredibly consistent and open with her blog because it is her way of connecting to people through her amazing gift of writing. She is honest and genuine in her posts, letting those who love her get frequent updates on how her life is going. I realized I am not so brave. I don't really want to share those personal things with people. Especially on the internet. Where people go to look at others stuff out of curiosity. I don't feel very comfortable letting people flippantly look through my journal even though it is only filled such scandalous things like; "It was sunny today. It is beautiful. I went to the pie shop. It was tasty. The pie, not the shop." It is just me being very uninterestingly blunt with myself and yet I still don't trust others with the information. weird.

I journal regularly. For some reason I made this blog maybe thinking that it would be a good way for me to share what was going on with my life. It turns out, I don't care enough about what is going on in my life to share it. I am completely satisfied with my own personal journaling. And no one needs updates from me to continue through their lives.

So! If you would like updates, call me. Or mail me. I am MUCH better at writing individual one-to-one letters than writing a massive blanket letter filled with info I hope interests the majority of the people stumbling across this thing.

I leave you with some quotes I have collected. This section shall be called "Bitter truths you can't avoid." (Lemony Snicket)

"Days are a stupid length. They're just long enough to get regret, then you have to go sleep."
"I'm in the modern world. I'm here, now. You just fill your life with all these gadgets and shite because you're bored."
-Dylan Moran

"Many things--such as loving, going to sleep, or behaving unaffectedly-- are done worst when we try hardest to do them."
"Affection is responsible for nine-tenths of whatever solid and durable happiness there is in our lives."
-C.S. Lewis

"A good, long session of weeping can often make you feel better, even if your circumstances have not changed one bit."
"Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it isn't so."
"Those unable to catalog the past are doomed to repeat it."
"It is so rare in this world to meet a trustworthy person who truly wants to help you."
"Arguing with someone is never pleasant but sometimes it is helpful and necessary to do so."
-Lemony Snicket

"All things excellent are as difficult as they are rare."
-Baruch Spinoza

"An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered."
"The way to love anything is to realize that it may be lost."
"To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless."
-G.K. Chesterton

"Creativity is intelligence having fun."
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius-- and a lot of courage-- to move in the opposite direction."
-Albert Einstein

"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect."
-Mark Twain

"I was born to speak all mirth and no matter."
-Beatrice. Much Ado About Nothing

"You cannot escape from yourself, for God has singled you out." But at the same time, "You are never alone. Even in death, and on the Last Day you will be only one member of the great congregation of Jesus Christ."
-Dietrich Bonhoeffer

"A person can only endure so much rejection."
-Rick Steele

"Your ideas have stayed with me for so long that I have given up the temptation to think that I've ever had an original thought."
-Mike Erre

I might post again later with more quotes. If I am in the mood.
