Chegg's mess-up

After ordering a book off of Chegg.com I was surprised to have it not arrive by the guaranteed date of arrival. So I took it upon myself to confront the problem until it was resolved. This is the exact conversation I had with the Chegg representative aka "AnneMarie"

Victoriana Dan: No ma'am. It is the History of the English Language

AnneMarie: I'm very sorry that you didn’t get your on the guaranteed date of 1/15/10! I can try to track the original shipment down. In the meantime, I can re-order the book for you and you should get it in four to seven business days, or I can cancel the order and issue a refund. Please understand that we stand by our shipment guarantee, so you'll be getting a refund for the shipping since this is late, and, again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

I went to bed as early as I could. I set my alarm for 6:15, allowing myself time to slowly get up and take a shower before my 8:00am class. I fell asleep unusually fast and rested soundly throughout the night. The next thing I remember is waking with a start and looking at the clock.

8:54.

I get angry at myself for turning off the alarm in my sleep. I didn't even remember doing it. I look at my phone.

I didn't turn the alarm off. It is still set to go off.

I look at my roommate's clocks in confusion.

8:55.

8:56.

I check my phone to see what time I set the alarm.

6:15 pm.
